Proof of Concept 1: Window Visualisation

Proof of Concept 1: Window Visualisation

The Brief:

“To devise an example of how 3D CAD data can be used to demonstrate the operation of a product in a presentation or sales environment”

The Solution:

This proof of concept contains an interactive 3D object (in this case, a window) located within a 3D scene. Users are able to interrogate, explore and engage with the object, crafting an experience that is wholly created and controlled by them.

Through this proof of concept, users can access functionality to:

  • navigate freely around the product
  • switch between single and double glazing
  • cycle through different window styles
  • cycle through additional material options
  • toggle on-screen controls
  • auto-rotate

The benefits of demonstrating operational visualisation for objects are not to be understated. There are natural benefits in both a sales and marketing capacity, however as with all solutions the key driver is context. Operational visualisation is a key driver in health & safety scenarios, in disaster planning, security manoeuvres, counter-terrorism or emergency rescue.

Our window visualisation proof of concept may be a small and simple demonstrator, but it all depends on the reason for your interaction and how you view what you’re experiencing.
