Case study: Doosan
About the project:
Doosan is a multi-national conglomerate operating across numerous sectors, with particular emphasis on consumer goods, manufacturing and the trading and construction sectors.
Spearhead Interactive were commissioned to create and deliver a bespoke Augmented Reality solution to demonstrate Doosan services available to prospective clients at the ADIPEC 2017 trade show in Dubai. The show runs from Nov 13th to Nov 16th.

EASY TO USE MENU SYSTEM
Navigation around the software has been kept very simple to ensure ease of use for the user and a seamless experience whether accessing information on the Doosan business, or the AR functionality.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES
Providing an overview of the capability of the Doosan business in relation to the needs of attendees at ADIPEC, users are able to develop a deeper understanding of the services available.
STANDARDS & AWARDS
Users are able to interrogate this section of the app in order to attain information on the ISO accreditation of the business and learn more surrounding some of the accolades awarded to the business.
CASE STUDIES
Demonstrating capability and showcasing relevant projects, the case study section of the app provides and overview of five highlighted projects for users to learn about in more detail.
PLANT EQUIPMENT SHOWCASE
Users are able to navigate around a dedicated index and access equipment-specific text and video content. This section allowed Doosan to leverage existing resources and provide content to users in a new and interactive way.
AUGMENTED REALITY SITE
Providing an interactive element to the app; users are able to load a fully 3D replica of a representative site and interrogate key locations through the use of interactive hot-spots.
Selecting a hotspot allows the user to isolate that location and load a further series of hotspots identifying the plant equipment. Selecting any of these loads the relevant plant equipment page for the user to learn more; with full controls to navigate directly back to the AR view.
